Mander Material

I read in the help that when i'm defining mander concrete seismostruct auto-find the Elasti modulus of concrete through compressive strenght. There are a method to impose E at my material?

Dashpot

<t>Hello, i use two different programs (Seismostruct and Opensees) to model a linear oscillator with fixed base, i lunch a time history and the two programs give me the same results, but if i consider a non-fixed base (Soil-structure interaction problem) for my oscillator, composed by a dashpot and ...

Spring and dashpot

<t>Hello, i'm study the seismic behavoir of a bridge with particular attention to the soil structure interaction and i need to know how to model a spring and a dashpot who work in parallel. For the spring i use a zerolenght element, for the dashpot i use dashpt command, I'm i doing it right? Do the ...

Re: box-girder section

Maybe i'm wrong, or i can't use seismostruct probably well... :) but the value that seismostruct returns to me is the inertia calculated by the bottom of the box-girder section

Re: box-girder section

Are you sure? The inertia of the same section calculated with autocad, with baricentrical axis give me another value

box-girder section

Hi, i have a question. In the window section, when i choose section type i design a box-girder section. why the 2 and 3 axis are not barycentric?
The inertia of the section is calculted by its bottom, there's a command to make axis barycentric?

Eigenvalues analysis

<t>Hi guys, i have a little problem with an eigenvalues analysis. I'm modelling a simple deck bridge, without the piers, only to obtain the periods of the superstructure. The deck is made with 4 span of continuos box-girder, 50 meters each. So i define 5 nodes, first and last are fix, over the ...
