Re: Varification Report in SeismoStruct-2018 Release-2

Dear Zoi;

Thank you very much for the quick response, I appreciate you. We got it from the help menu.
I hope that Indian Standard will be introduced in the Code-based checks of SeismoStruct in future version.
Thank you,
Anant

Varification Report in SeismoStruct-2018 Release-2

Hi there;

The verification report examples are available in the existing SeismoStruct-2016 version, however in the new SeismoStruct-2018 Release-2 does not included the verification report example, does the verification report examples are removed in the release-2?

Once more question, does Indian ...

Re: IDA, Analysis Terminated

Dear Zoi and Huffte;

Thank you very much for your explanatory answer of my query. Actually, I referred lot of literature, SeismoStruct forum questions, and refer the well known text book Mechanics of Materials. Even, I asked many friends in the University, but did not satisfied the answer. I put ...

Re: IDA, Analysis Terminated

Dear Zoi;

Thank you very much for your help and advise. Now the models running perfectly alright. But, I have a question, how do we provide the rotational mass? I used the same value of lumped mass Mx, My, and Mz in element class properties. But, I don't know what is the meaning of rotational mass ...

IDA, Analysis Terminated

Hi there;

I am running IDA for the FRP-confined RC bridge columns. The model was running fine for cyclic analysis and results were matched with experimental results, but when I run IDA with same model, its run few minutes and say unable to apply the next load step. Analysis terminated.I guess ...

FRP Confinement Factor

<r>Hi There,<br/>
To calculate the confinement factor using SeimoStruct, for FRP confined circular section, we need to provide the Jacket thickness (m), FRP elastic modulus (kPa) and Jacket strain.<br/>
<br/>
I am modeling RC circular column (400mm Dia.) with 1, 2, 3 and 4 layer of CFRP and GFRP ...

Re: Link Element (Takeda) use for Hysteretic Behavior

<t>Hi Adeel,<br/>
Thank you very much for your reply. I appreciate you for this help.<br/>
Yeah, you are right about the initial stiffness that would be 8986 kN/m should be the initial stiffness I should use for the Takeda link, initial stiffness (sy).<br/>
Still, I am not sure because, We are using ...
