Re: steel chevron braced frame

Dear SMHZS

I think, in your case,
you should consider imperfection in mid point of braces, not in columns. Because braces are expected to buckle before column's.

Re: Orientation of elements

If the third node is in the direction of element axis there will be this error.I believe if you change the coordinate of third point, it will be done correctly.

huffte suggestion for using wizard, is the best option for avoiding some unwanted error.

post-processing add-in capability

<t>Hi,<br/>
<br/>
It is good for add a capability to seismostruct, like ( VBA and MACRO in EXCEL or a connection to MATLAB or ...) for adding post-processing gadgets and add-ins. .Then users can share their add-ins with each others.<br/>
<br/>
even, a spread sheet environment in post process module ...

Re: reduction of the flexural bending stiffness

<t>Hani<br/>
<br/>
I think in "ELEMENT" module > Add > elfrm:Elastic frame element > "USER-DEFINed" , you can choose bending stiffness. <br/>
But as I mentioned it is Elastic frame element. for modeling braces I use the models which proposed by (URIZ and MAHIN 2008).<br/>
I am interested in your ...

Re: Deformed Shape Viewer problem

Dear Sara

Yes, With help of "Automatic Icrementation" I add the nodes, But There is problem, In some models "maybe I do something wrong in these particular Models". The question is Can I manage the hierarchy of nodes for plotting issue.

Thank you for helping me sara.

<t>Actually I use Wizard for making frame nodes initially, then with "ADD" I add other desire nodes but with names like "100" , "101" and ... for making difference with "n111", ... which are marked by wizard.<br/>
Can we edit "FIRST NODE" manually, (= can we choose the first node which are ...

Deformed Shape Viewer problem

<r>Dear SeismoSoft team,<br/>
<br/>
as you can see in following link, Sometime I encounter with problem in plotting deformed shape in dynamic analysis. It is like the position of fix point are considered wrong. Is this a Bug or something is wrong in my modelling? <br/>
