Re: Displacement Based Fiber Frame Element

I told, If you are sure, no problem.
You are not understanding what I am telling.
Also, you say, do not come again. Are there hidden rules about forum?
This is not a question and I do not need answer.
I told.
If you are sure!
No problem.
Interesting!

Re: Displacement Based Fiber Frame Element

Sir/Madam,
Please get me honest. I am just writing for if there is a bug. Thank you for your comments. Really, honestly, if there is something wrong, I wanted to tell it. I did the formulation by myself in matlab years ago. I compared with Seismostruct (years ago), and see a little difference. I had ...

Re: Displacement Based Fiber Frame Element

Sir, Thank you. I found the references.
Here is one study I saw, a professor of mine's student did the research.
So many of the results are similar,
Only in a few, there are different results, although they concluded they are similar (this is my observation).

Re: Displacement Based Fiber Frame Element

I had programmed OpenSees's beam (fiber) by myself and get the same results. Do you have a theory manual? Explaining every detail in formulations?

Re: Displacement Based Fiber Frame Element

I did not say anything heavily or lightly. Anyway, I made sap2000 and Opensees models, they were same for linear elastic and displacement based beam element. Displacement based beam element used no fiber section. So element seems ok for OpenSees. Fiber results are only comparable for OpenSees and ...

Re: Displacement Based Fiber Frame Element

I am trying to control my model.
While doing, in pushover analysis, the current seismosoft gives this message.
No masses have been defined in any of the three translational directions. SeismoStruct cannot run the eigenvalue analysis
It tries to do eigen analysis. I started the model in eigen. Then I ...

Displacement Based Fiber Frame Element

Hi,
I programmed displacement based fiber frame element at OpenSees and get the same (same numerical results-same numbers after digits) results from OpenSees. I also checked it with Seismostruct. Results were numerically different (and a little bit different). If the theory of OpenSees frame element ...
