Re: Big slope in linear part for force-displacement curve

I am using a combination ( infrmDB - for the 455mm length of element where couplers are supposedly placed ) and ( infrmFB for the remaining length fo column ). The whole length of column is 2.4m. I tried changing both to infrmDB but the force-displacement curve does not have any significant change. ...

Re: Big slope in linear part for force-displacement curve

Hello Seismosoft team, I am having trouble with the result of the pushover curve of the experimental column I am trying to validate. Although the ultimate force and ultimate strain somehow matches, the slope of the curve for the pre-yielding section is very much different. Mine is much steeper compa...

Re: PUSHOVER ANALYSIS

Good day! May I know how to get the ultimate displacement in a pushover curve? I read in your forums that I have to assign a 20% residual strength to produce a declining curve. However, doing so causes my model to have convergence problems. It cannot sustain the loads I initially applied. Also, Is t...

Re: Pushover with 1st mode distribution

Hi there,

May I know the difference between using uniform vs triangular distribution in a pushover analysis? My building has a regular configuration ( box-shaped with uniform spacing ) so i guess higher modes will not govern.

Hi there!

I am trying to define my own spectral curve on the Target Displacement tab. However, I can't seem to find the "Other Spectral Shapes" anywhere. I am using v2018 of seismostruct. Can anyone tell me specifically where to find this option?

Re: How to add a sequence cyclic load (force then displacement Cycles) and obtain hysteresis curves ?

Hi there!

Does Seismostruct has a step-by-step tutorial on how to conduct a cyclic pushover analysis using sequence of load cases? I am new to this software and still exploring. I badly need this in doing a verfication model for an rc column subjected to slow cyclic loading.
