Re: Define yielded rebar in materials

Dear Zoi Gronti yes you are right, please help me to define a steel material that has reached to yielding strain and has low tensile strenght. For modeling low-strength steel that has reached the yield point, I did a method in which I reduced the elastic modulus of the steel from 200GPA to 0.1GPA , b...

Re: Define yielded rebar in materials

Dear Zoi Gronti
I mean the definition of a steel that has reached its yield strength due to previous loading and has no tensile strength, I want to define and model this low-strength steel and do the analysis again and compare the results with the first analysis

Define yielded rebar in materials

Dear Sir/Mad
Hello
I want to define yielded steel as a material (because of modelling RC Frame with yielded rebar), how can i define it? in other words wich is the best way to define and model yielded rebar?
Thanks a lot

Graph Labels Do Not Show

Dear Sir/Mad
Hello
in my seismostruct software the output graphs don't have any labels, so I can't understand what is the X or Y Axis, what is the problem?
please help me!
Tnx A lot

Re: Modeling Damaged RC Frame and Retrofitting

Dear Zoi Gronti
Thanks for you reply.
Really my question is this:
I have run my model and the members have damaged.
Really my question is this:
BY WHICH WAY I CAN USE (OR MAYBE I CAN MODEL) THE DAMAGED MEMBERS (IN ORDER TO RETROFIT BY FRP...)?

Modeling Damaged RC Frame and Retrofitting

Dear Sir/Mad
Hello
I want to:
First: apply strong earthquake records to a RC frame; therefore, plasticity and damage extends in the elements.
then Second: use FRP on the damaged elements and again apply strong earthquake records.
Can I use Seismostruct to do this process?
