model validation
Dear Sir/Madam,
Hope you are doing well.
I am trying to validate the RC bridge pier model subjected to reverse cyclic loading. However, the hysteretic curves of the predicted and experimental results have great variation. Could you please help me solve this problem? The model and figure that shows ...

Re: FRP CONFINED CONCRETE
Dear Zoi Gronti,
Isn't it based on Ferracuti and Savoia (2005) model? It is reported in some papers (including your paper" Pushover Analyses of Two-Span Reinforced Concrete Bridge With Piers Confined by Fiber Reinforcements") that it is based on Ferracuti and Savoia (2005) model.
How about for ...

Re: Performance criteria
Thanks for your kind support.
I am referring to the hysteretic curve under the Global Response Parameters. I have defined the performance criteria in the Pre-Processor and wanted to know at what load and displacement for each criterion. Could you please check one of my models via the following link ...

I am checking the initiation of core concrete crushing using a strain value of 0.15.
When I use -0.15 as a strain value for the initiation of concrete core crushing, the value is not included in the hysteresis diagram. However, when I use a positive value of 0.15 for core concrete crushing in the ...

Re: Bond-slip model for reinforcement steel
Dear Seismostruct support team,
Thanks for your reply. I have tried to review the manual and previous similar questions raised in this forum.
However, I did not fully understand how to implement it.
Any suggestions please from anyone in this forum.
Thanks in advance

Bond-slip model for reinforcement steel
In the literature, rebar slippage at the pier-footing is modeled using a nonlinear rotational spring element with a zero-length.
Please, how to employ this method to model the bond-slip behavior of steel reinforcement in Seismostruct V2020.
Thanks for your support,
Tadesse

FRP jacketed reinforced concrete hollow section
As a result of reduced self-weight and stiffness/mass ratio, hollow concrete columns are desirable over a solid section. Is there a way to model such hollow rectangular sections jacketed with FRP using Seismostruct?
