Hi,
Here is how I did:
Uninstall the new version and delete all the files in the Seismosoft folder.
Reinstall the old version.
Change the date to April 2011.
Open Seismostruct, it worked for me (Win XP)
Good luck

Re: new version doesn't open existing outputs
<t>Hi everyone,<br/>
I found a way to continue to use the old version.<br/>
Simply change the date of your computer to any date before june 30<br/>
and miracle...Seismostruct built 5.0.5 can still be use and then work with your previous output files.<br/>

Rayleigh Damping
<t>Hi,<br/>
I would just like some clarifications on how Seismostruct calculates the Rayleigh damping. We must enter T1 and T2 to get alphaM and alphaK.<br/>
From these equations, what is the difference of choosing between tangent and initial stiffness since both alpha use T1 and T2 and never T ...

Re: Converging differences
Thanks you for the answer.
I'm glad to know that I am not the only one with this kind of behavior.
Is it possible that the very large stiffness elements that may cause problems are the rigid diaphragm or another type of constraints??
Thanks
Benoit Boulanger

Converging differences
<t>Hi,<br/>
I was wondering if anyone encountered this problem too:<br/>
Why would an analysis converge quite fast on a computer, but would never converge on another one. I'm of course talking about an indentical model of a quite complex 3D RC building. The computers which don't converge are older ...

Restraints error
Hi
Does anyone had problems with the restraints before??
Many times, when I save and open a model, the restraints are deleted and I have to put them everytime.
Thanks

fbd_inv problem
<t>Hi, <br/>
I'm actually modelling a 12 storey frame-wall 3D structure and try to pass dynamic time-histories.<br/>
right now I'm testing my model by applying multiple static analysis and keep having fbd_inv problem.<br/>
I read the help system many times, but apart of saying that the matrice ...
