This does not answer my question. I have gone through the link elements of these models very carefully, and while bar slip spring and interface shear spring were modelled, the shear panel interface was not included in your models and I am wondering why. So you suggest if I change the rotational response properties, I may get a lower peak?
Also I have set the plastic hinge at 50%, because the calculated PH ( originally 15%, and 10%)was causing higher peaks.

I've ruled out these factors " material strengths, modelling of confinement, modelling of shear failures,"
Modelling of second order effects is done automatically if I've ticked that box, isn't it? I am also using FBPH, so that should not be causing it.

Hysteresis graphs

Hello,

I am doing some hysteresis verification of my own, and I notice that a constant problem is the peak forces don't match up with experimental results. The software always produces higher peaks. What could be causing that?

Can you share with me the how you managed to calculate the takeda curve parameters from the reference ? (Yu,2006)

Based on my Seismostruct knowledge, the confinement factor is automatically calculated based on the confinement selected, and I am sure of the confinement details I have entered.

Is there way to change that factor manually?
