Re: RC beam-column joint

Was there a solution found for the original question of beam-column joint modelling?

Joint Behaviour

When Joints are not explicitly modeled using links, how does the software display their behaviour?
Can it identify failure of joints without their explicit modelling?
How can I read the results of a building's joints from the results section? Where can I find the joints response?

Unidentified section type error

I keep getting this error "Unidentified section type" When trying to graphically input my links. Works fine when i do i via the table.

Nodal increments

Hello,

I know that you can create nodal increments if the nodes are labelled simply with numbers.

Is there anyway to label a node as C1, W1 , etc and then increment it? to identify the different structural elements

Graph labels

I have noted that the output displays dont all have labels,

for instance, in the target displacement tab post processor, the x-axis is labelled displacement but the y axis is labelled as base shear. Is it base shear moment or base shear force? It's not clear and there is no way to tell..

Re: X Bracing for retrofitting

So you are saying that the introduction of a node in the middle of the bracing will model the imperfections?

Performance criteria error

Hello, I think there is an issue with performance criteria error display. I have set a performance criteria at 0.0015 concrete strain, and one of the elements in the visual display keeps appearing as if it's reached that limit, but upon checking at the performance criteria checks, I can see that it'...

Re: X Bracing for retrofitting

What do you mean by imperfections? What does that mean in terms of modelling?

Re: Modelling of Prestressed braces

If the braces are diagonal, how can I apply the forces diagonally?
