Re: Get the response spectrum signal as a time domain signal

Hi Tim,

Thanks again for sharing the steps was very useful.
Did you receive my last email (reply to your mail about the steps) ?
Looking forward to hear from you.

Re: Get the response spectrum signal as a time domain signal

Hi Tim
Would you have an end to end example of this that I could try out using the suite of the Seismosoft softwares ?
This would help me and my management understand better regarding investing in them. One of the issues
however is we do not have exact details of the building design. We can use ...

Re: Get the response spectrum signal as a time domain signal

Hi Tim,

What I am trying to do is to arrive at a signal that is felt by a system which is inside a building.
So I start with a ground acceleration and essentially I want to scale this to account for the dynamics of the building.
I make a custom response spectrum that mimics the characteristics of ...

Get the response spectrum signal as a time domain signal

Hello,

I am wondering if its possible to get the response spectrum signal as a time domain signal with Seismo Match.
After scaling the signal I would like to get the time domain output of applying this signal to multiple 1 DoF oscillators
becausw I am interested to use the response signal rather ...

Drift in position

Hello,

I am trying to scale an accelerogram with a custom spectrum.
After the scaling (which goes ok) I see that velocity and acceleration look reasonable
but the position shows a large drift with respect to time.

I am wondering why this happens and how I could fix it.
Please let me know if you ...

License Question

I have a question regarding the licensing of SeismoMatch.
If I order in your shop and pay, how does the license work? Is it locked to one machine or does it have a dongle or network license?

Bug in units

Hello,

When I load one of the default accelerogram the units are in g's. If I change to m/s^2 the label changes
but I see that the values are still being displayed in g's . I was expecting them to be 9.81 times higher.

Range check error

Hello,

I am trying to load a spectrum from a .txt file and get a range error.
Could you please explain what I miss ? The minimum period in my
data is 0.05 and maximum is 4. This is the same as what is defined in
the settings.

Best Regards,
Moiz
