Good evening,

in a modeling of fiber elements with seismostruct and applying a time history analysis with accelerogram in the x direction, it exits axial stress on the beams.

I inserted a very rigid axially rod to make that effort and decrease stiffness in the nod part in the horizontal direction ...

My calculation are correct, based on simple equilibrium conditions.

I have personally found the problem in the modelling, related to the meshing of the cantilever (considering that I was using the DB element).

Now the software well predict the bending moment evaluated through the simple formula M ...
