Re: Modeling a cantilver RC column

Thank you. But I would like to know that why the seismosoft used two methods for these two similar examples in verification reports. Thanks again for your comments.

Re: Modeling a cantilver RC column

Thank you.
I see your verification report chapter4, blind-01 and bridge-02.
They give me several idea for modeling RC cantilver column, but I have questions. I would be thank if you answer them:
1- two methods used in these examples. For blind-01, infrmFB used, but in bridge-02, infrmDB. As it told ...

Re: Modeling a cantilver RC column

The confibement factor was automaticaly calculated by the sesismistruct. You think that I should change the calculated value?

Re: Modeling a cantilver RC column

Thank you for your response. I will try to use your comments to solve my problems in the model. I would be say that I had similar problems (fat hysteresis in analysis than experimental) in a RC beam. I think that some models like these, need to considere a specific property to show a slim hysteresis ...

Modeling a cantilver RC column

Hi seismosoft,
I want to create a RC cantilver column which was published in an experimental paper. I create the model based on the paper exactly, but my results did not match to experimental results. My hysteresis results were bigger and the hysteresis was to fat than the experimental hysteresis ...

Re: about verification reports examples (RC joint)

Thank you for your response.
I use the example of the verification report (Ch.4-Joint.03) and create a new model based on this example. I change the link parameters based on my calculation in both (the reference example and also my model). All of parameters and the modeling properties are the same ...

Re: about verification reports examples (RC joint)

3- When I want to determine the other Takeda curve parameters, the the yielding and ultimate strength were correct (also in the references), but, the stiffness (yield and ultimate) which were determine based on slip values in the references, were not true. I see the reference, but these values were ...

about verification reports examples (RC joint)

Dear seismosoft,
I would like to use your verification report model (Chapter 4- ch4-joint 02), but there were some problem with your model. I use the version 2016 (latest release). May I have your help? Please explain the following questions:

1- In section tab, for example for COLUMN-B, please ...
