Hello,
I am currently trying to model a frame with elfrm-elements and a compression strut which is modelled with the same element type. In addition the frame has moment releases in all corners. The load is applied in the way that the strut is compressed.
The calculation aborts after a few steps ...

Re: Cracked section properties for inelastic elements in RSA
Thank you, but in the case the bug is fixed, which parameters of the infill panel would be considered in the RSA?

Re: Cracked section properties for inelastic elements in RSA
I have another question concerning this topic.
How does the RSA functions with the infill panel element? Does the initial stiffness of the inifll element define the reaction?

Re: Link Element without tension capacity
Can you tell me if you know a reason why the combination of link+infill is not a good modelling tactic? What processes might contribute to the bad convergence behaviour?

Re: Link Element without tension capacity
The modelling tactic link+infill is explicitly proposed in the user manual to take into account the non rigid connection of frame and infill. Therefore it seemed this idea was generally possible.

Re: Link Element without tension capacity
I want to simulate the influence of the mortar(should have trilinear behaviour) between frame and infill and take into account that there is just low to zero tension force acting between the two parts. Since the user manual says link elements between frame and infill are generally possible, this ...

Re: Link Element without tension capacity
Thank you for the answer!
A trilinear symmetric curve with the values I have assigned to compression works fine.
A bilinear curve works fine with a very low value assigned to the tension stiffness.
It also diverges for the default infill + default trilinear link.

Re: Link Element without tension capacity
Thank you for your answer!
I get convergence if I remove the panel. My input values for the infill seem to be reasonable, however it does not converge with the default values for the infill panel as well. Also the model converges very well with my values for the infill and without the link elements.
