Re: Out-of-Plane Element Movement in Eigenvalue Analysis
Well... It has been a while since then, even I installed v2018, but I still do have the convergence issue which arises on dynamic time history analysis, but not on static time-history nor Eigenvalue Analysis. There should be something simple yet nerve-wracking though.

Re: Out-of-Plane Element Movement in Eigenvalue Analysis
Thank you Huff.
I chose the 1st way for the moment. Here comes fbd_Inv and fbd_Tol message on dynamic time history analysis now... eww
I have tried to increase the elements' convergence tolerance from the Elements tab (Tol.=1) and the global convergence tolerance values (Disp. Tol.=0.9 mm) from the ...

Out-of-Plane Element Movement in Eigenvalue Analysis
I have a few beams between shearwalls of an RC structure (coupling beams) of which have short free span smaller than their section height. Running Eigenvalue analysis, results in out-of-plane unusual motion of these beams while it is opposite with other couplings, ie. beams that do not have smaller ...

Modeling a Concrete Shearwall with Diagonal Reinforcement
Hello
I hope it is feasible to model diagonal reinforcement of a concrete shearwall by some means... Is it?

Re: Convegence problem
Oh, I was expecting this to be simple, but not this much. Thanks a lot. Looking forward to SSv2018.

Re: Convegence problem
Hello seismosoft'
Thank you for your attention. I have been trying the YouTube video for a couple of days now and playing with variables, but still in vain. I have checked the connectivity, with a little change now all connections seem fine, but the problem is not resolved. Just read about the ...

Convegence problem
Hello Seismosoft
It has been a while I am in contact with you and I really appreciate your support. I have a concrete frame model with multiple types of fbd_Tol, Prd_Ite errors. Would you please help me on this? I have tried the tutorial video from youtube on how to solve convergence difficulties ...

Re: RC shear wall with opening
Dear seismosoft;
I tried modeling the aforementioned wall. I get "Max_Tol" message. Can you check the model, please. I tried increasing Maximum Tolerance value by 1.0E+35 and had run eigenvalue analysis; but I have no idea what I should do.
Thanks.

Re: RC shear wall with opening
It would be perfect if you could add such capability, such a way that one can have a custom opening with unsymmetrical reinforcement patterns. An example of this would be a model like the figure below.

Re: RC shear wall with opening
Does anyone know how to do it? How to have a custom opening in shear wall? rcrws does not provide such capability. Is there any alternative option?
