Hi my dear friend
I used rigid links between some nodes.master node is represent of a frame element(a girder of a bridge)and slave nodes represent of link elements(elastomerpad/bearing).my question is :is it mandatory to restraint orientation nodes of link elements as slave nodes to master node or ...

Re: Element classes and damping
Dear Tim Huff
Thanks for your complete responding.
but in damping I mean the difference between defining damping in setting and element class which I do that.is it a paradox?because I define a damping type in setting( rayleigh) and determine another damping in element class.is it make unstable ...

Element classes and damping
Hi my dear friends
I have 2 questions:
1-how can i recognize an element is a DB class or FB class for example a column of a bridge in which group will be classified infrDB or infrFB?
2-in setting and in part damping I assign rayleigh damping.when i determine element class i should determine its ...

Re: create a section
Dear z.gronti
thank you for your suggestion.it help me to create this section by 2 separate sections .this trick almost solve my problem but if i assign infrmFB or infrmFBPH to this section do 2 separate sections work as a unit section?
with respect

RC jacketed circular sections
Hi my friends
I want to create a circular reinforcement concrete section which has a concrete jacket whit a different Characteristic strength. in this software we have a section with these properties but is rectangular(rcjrs).I tried to use composite circular section but it had a problem which can ...

I have a project about bridge analysis . it has 4 simple spans with continuos concrete deck . do you have any refrence or clip about how to modelling the bridge in seismo struct?
Thanks
