How to decrease EI of elements
<t>Hi everyone,<br/> <br/> I am trying to decrease of my frame elements' stiffness. But i cannot find a way to do that. I have to change my elements' stiffness for a pushover analysis. I've searched forum and some folks say that it is not possible right now.<br/> <br/> I tried to change Elasticity i...

Re: How to find mode shape
Hi everyone,
Thx for your help. I have solved the problem and discovered that SeismoStruct and other softwares using mm units when finding modal participation factors even though we use meters units in SeismoStruct.
Thx again.

Re: Error in eigen value analysis
Hi lutfulla_aeam,
I had been through the same errors. If you tell us what kind of structure that you are analyzing I can, personally, give you some advices.
But you can change analysis type in settings/eigenvalue from Lanczos to Ritz transformation.
Thx.

How to find mode shape
<t>Hi Seismosoft,<br/> <br/> I searched forum for finding mode shapes in 3D Structures, I need to find or calculate but I have never tried to find mode shapes before in 3D structures. I solved lots of examples 2D frame or 1D frame by hand. In those examples I always found the mode shapes.<br/> <br/>...

Re: eigen value analysis
<r>Hi everyone,<br/> <br/> Thank you your answers firstly. seismosoft, I cannot be sure that two models exactly same but i am quite sure there must be some logical approximation. I don't allege that both of the package software use same formulation etc. But both software show me nearly exact mass pa...

<t>Greetings everyone.<br/> <br/> I have the same problem in SeismoStruct v7.0.2<br/> I need modal mass participation ratios so I've run a eigenvalue analysis but it consistently gives incorrect results. Beside, periods of the structure are not they should be according to the other software.<br/> <b...
