Output reading

Hi,
I have a question about the output reading in post-processor:
1. what is the different of V2(A) and V2(B)in post-processor 'element action effects - Frame Forces'.

Usage of Concrete Cap

Hi,
I am just wondering why we need to put a concrete cap on top of the pier when we create a bridge model? what will happen if not.

Re: Curved ramp bridge Modelling

<t>Huffte,
I have made my model. But another problem occurs.
After the software analyze for a while these came out:

Time= 3.01493, dt= 0.04500 (Iter: 2 => Converg)
Time= 3.05993, dt= 0.04500 (Iter: 2 => Converg)
Time= 3.05993, dt= (Iter: 1 => fbd_Ite)<br ...

Re: How to create a rubber bearing with link element

Thanks for your help huffte.

The third and 4th nodes are non structural nodes right? and if I am using circular bearing, I could just define the axial direction of the link with one node. Is that right?

So what about defining the rigid connection for the beam-pier link?

How to create a rubber bearing with link element

<t>Hi,
I am new to Seismostruct.
I am modelling a ramp bridge and going to analysis the response of the bridge under earthquake.

I have a problem with creating the Rubber Bearing that link the piers and the beam. I am not sure what kind of value I should enter inside the F1, F2 ...

Curved ramp bridge Modelling

Hi,
I am just wondering if I can draw a curved structure in the Seismostruct? How can I draw it if I can.

Thanks for helping me.
