Hey every one , i'm new user in SeismoStruct , i would like to know if this software can capture , simulate the degradation in axial carrying capacity for each of columns and beams , during nonlinear time history analysis ,Thanks

Yes, it can.

We strongly suggest you to read the Help System/User Manual of the program, as well as the Verification report (all available from http://www.seismosoft.com/en/SStructDocumentation.aspx).

We also recommend, as usual, for you to start "playing" with the software, using the Wizard facility to quickly create trial models, and in this way find the answers to basic questions like this one that you have just posted.

Thanks "Seismosoft" for your answer , actually i'm reading the manual and the verification , but let me try to explain what i mean in my question cause i can't find the answer in the manual.
i just want to know if i can simulate the interaction between the axial and the shear and the flexure capacity of reinforced concrete section in the same time , i mean the shear failure or axial failure in element after reaching a flexural failure "hinge" "The element can not carry any axial load " totaly collapse in this element, please if i can simulate this behavior , i will be grateful if you can explain for me how i can do it in "Seismostruct"
Many thanks

Bashar, hi, clear now.

Yes, SeismoStruct's frame elements do model fully the flexural-axial capacity interaction.

No, SeismoStruct frame elements do not currently model flexural-shear-axial capacity interaction.
