SMA-fiber reinforced polymer

Hi all
Can any one tell me how to model a SMA-fiber reinforced polymer? They have different stress-strain curves. So How can I make a parallel material to combine both materials ?
Thanks a lot

Hi,
It is not clear to us the exact context in which you are using SMA-fibre reinforced polymers; e.g. additional flexural strength?, additional confinement?.
In any case, a literature/internet search should readily provide you with information on the constitutive relationship of such (combined) material.

Hi,
Check this paper. It talks about SMA-FRP reinforcement in concrete.
Seismic performance of concrete columns reinforced with hybrid shape memory alloy (SMA) and fiber reinforced polymer (FRP) bars.

Hi Muntasir,
What link elements did you use in your FE model in the linked paper for your coupler? I tried to email you at your university's email, but it doesn't work apparently. Thanks.

Hi Mostafa,
I used takeda model to define the roatational spring which is already described in the paper.
Thanks
