Shear wall frame

I am having trouble performing a pushover analysis on a structural frame consisting of a shear wall, flat slab and column elements. I have made sure that the rigid links between the centre line of the shear wall element and the adjacent slab elements are correctly modelled, but the analysis stops much to early. Is there a way of obtaining a copy of such an analysis that was previously performed on this type of frame?

Sorry, no such example model is available. If you send us the *.spf file we may try having a look at it when we will find the time, though we cannot promise this to happen soon, unfortunately.

Thank you very much! It is probally only a mistake on my behalf, but I just cannot figure it out. Any help will be appreciated. I do not expect a full investigation into the problem.
I will be sending the file to the e-mail adress info@seismosoft.com. Please let me know if I have to send the file to another e-mail adress.

We are not sure this will solve the problem, but you should start by using a coarser meshing (a good rule of thumb is to employ elements which length is at least equal to the width/height of the cross-section). Check out the wizard-created models using 4 or 5 elements per structural member for an idea of adequate meshing. We note also that a wall will usually not require more than two elements per storey.

We also note that you should employ ‘elfrm’ elements to model rigid links, and that 100 steps should suffice for a pushover analysis (you currently use 1000).
