Dear all!

My intention is to do parametric studies using seismostruct. Is there the possibility to start seismostruct from matlab/octave using a text file for input. So I could manipulate the structure automatically from matlab/octave.

What would be the command to start seismostruct from matlab/octave?

As far as I saw there is the possibility to generate an output text file.

Thatks for your help!
Ulrich

Hi,

The simple answer is "no, what you request is currently not possible". You may find further details on the topic by searching this Forum for "batch".

Great suggestion.

With the input text file, you can analyze data from seismostruct.
If you have a matlab file, you can see the seismostruct data in your matlab programming application.

Dear matlabtuts,

With the SPF Creator, facility available within SeismoStruct, there is no need to use matlab. With the SPF Creator facility users are able to easily and quickly create several new SeismoStruct input files, by adapting an existing one.

Note also that there is XML import/export in SeismoStruct. The XML files can be adapted with an ordinary text-editor and all the XML files can be run with SeismoBatch simultaneously.
