con_ma2 - Mander with softening

Hello, I would like to know more about the development of the Mander model for concrete with tension softening. Moreover, I would like to know how much reliable is the material model already implemented.

Hi,
The 'con_ma2' may give rise to numerical instabilities, due to the tension softening. Its general use is thus not necessarily recommended.
It is based on the publications described in the 'con_frp' model Help page, but without the frp confinement component.
If you wish to, you may run some sensitivity studies and comparisons with 'con_ma' model, to gain a better feeling for its behaviour.
