About Nominal base shear

If we use Building modular option then when doing push over analysis we asked to enter nominal base shear ok what ever we input software distribute it as incremental load to all nodes. But when we do all things manually. Then for static push over analysis we have to give incremental load then at that time i am super confused what to do at university we only learn mass lumped and to distribute earthquake load to each floor. But we don't study to distribute to each node. So I am stuck at this point

If you select a Response Control scheme in the pushover Phases, what is really needed is the relative value of the different forces. These forces are proportional to the masses at each floor or location (and then they are multiplied according to the lateral forces pattern). Then the Loading Factor (i.e. the absolute values of the forces at each step) is selected according to the selected scheme and the displacement increment at every pushover step.
Note however that this is a forum for the use of Seismosoft's programs, not a general forum in Earthquake Engineering. You should discuss better these issues with your supervisor.
