Hola a todos,
Les escribo para solicitarles por favor si me pueden ayudar indicando como puedo hacer para crear una sección para una columna tipo H en concreto armado ya que el software no me deja crearla mediante geometría personalizada debido a que para realizarla se necesitan 12 vertices o puntos y el programa lo limita a 10 puntos como maximo por area.

Intenté crear la sección por areas parciales contiguas pero al momento de colocar el recubrimiento solo me permite generar para una de las secciones parciales y mostrando el mensaje "el número máximo de superficies por sección es 9".

Finalmente intenté crearla mediante la sección T o doble T simétrica (sits) sin embargo al momento de colocarle el material de hormigón armado se presenta el mensjae que indica que no se permite usar modelos de materiales de concreto o mampostería para definir perfiles de refuerzo o acero.

Quedo muy agradecido de antemano por su gentil colaboración y ayuda para resolver mi consulta.

Secondly, all the messages that you get are limitations of the current version. We will consider increasing the limits in v2027 onwards, but unfortunately this will not be possible in v2026.

Hello everyone,
I'm writing to ask for your help in creating a section for a reinforced concrete H-section column. The software won't let me create it using custom geometry because it requires 12 vertices or points, and the program limits it to a maximum of 10 points per area.

I tried creating the section using contiguous partial areas, but when I tried to add the concrete cover, it only allowed me to generate it for one of the partial sections, displaying the message "the maximum number of surfaces per section is 9."

Finally, I tried creating it using a symmetrical T-section or double T-section (sits), but when I added the reinforced concrete material, I received a message stating that it's not allowed to use concrete or masonry material models to define reinforcement or steel profiles.

Unfortunately, all these are current limitations of the custom section in SeismoStruct 2026. Following your feedback, we will increase the number of points and surfaces of the custom sections in v2027, however in the current release this is not possible for reasons of compatibility of the input file.
