Dear Seismosoft team

During the Elastic (equivalent) static analysis i understand that the programm calculates the eigenperiods from eigenvalue analysis. So in each direction (x,y) the total (base) force is Fbx=m*λ*Sd(Tx,ζ) and Fby=m*λ*Sd(Ty,ζ), where Tx and Ty are calculated through eigenvalue analysis. The distribution of this force at every floor j is done via eigenmodes meaning : Fj=Fb* mj*φj/Σmi*φi or via height meaning : Fj=Fb* mj*zj/Σmi*zi ?

The distribution of the lateral loads in the different methods of analysis is done according to the specified code-based methodologies. Different approaches are adopted depending on the selected analysis method, and the selected standard.
