incremental dynamic analysis, curve multiplier

hello ,
i am doing İncremental dynamic analysis. when i load the ground motion acceleration, a window is opened, when i select the peer format for data i recieve a warning message like " acceleration units are in g, while current program units are in m/se2, an appropriate scaling factor will be applied", does it mean that the 9.81m/sec2 is applied automatically or we have to write it manually as 9.81 in the curve multiplier box? thank you

If you select to loads a file that follows the PEER format, the program reads it and it automatically applies the correct scaling factor (9.81 in your case).

thank you for your response,
1: as you said that the software multiply the ground motion record automatically with 9.81, so instead of 9.81 i wrote 1 in the curve multiplier box and the results are strange for me, i got very low base shear forces and small isolator displacements.
2: i performed IDA, i checked the results and realesd that the columns bottom where the isolator is placed has larger displacement than isolator displacement , for exp iso disp=0.13m , column disp=0.2m , what can be the reason ?

1. unless you know exactly what you are doing, you should not change the automatic values of the program
2. As we explained in another question that you posted, in dynamic analysis the fixed nodes have an absolute displacement according to the applied accelerogram.
