can the newer version read in files larger than 99999 points? I use version 3.3 and it seems like this is the limit. I love Seismosoft--great great product--I use is for more general purpose sizing of automotive and off road shaker systems. I can send typical excel files. I will buy the new version if this is expanded.

Hi rtballard,

The upcoming new version will accept the loading of records with up to 2^18=262144 data points. However, due to current limitations in the respective libraries, Fourier and Power Spectra will be available only for records featuring a maximum of 2^16=32768 data points. (we will try to overcome this limit in the future)

We note also that the use of such large accelerograms may give rise to slow analyses and system memory management difficulties, especially in computers with limited memory capacity. Hence, users should employ such records only when strictly necessary, instead cropping/truncating them when possible (e.g. if they contain large portions of negligible motion at their start and end). The following post, although referring to SeismoMatch, discusses this matter in some further detail: http://www.seismosoft.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=611 .
