Dear Seismosignal Users,

Does the latest version of the software have the ability to extract the pulse duration of a pulse-type near-field record?
I haven't found any related parameters.
BTW, could you please describe the difference between pulse period and pulse duration and how to calculate them?

Yes. The pulse period can be extracted for records that are indeed, characterized by pulse-like history. The pulse period is the distance, in seconds, between successive peaks on the same side of the history plot. The duration is the total length from beginning to end of the pulse-type loading. So, as a simple example, consider a pulse with period 1.5 seconds which lasts for 3 cycles. Then the duration would be 1.5 seconds per cycle x 3 cycles = 4.5 seconds. I really appreciate your help.
Considering your explanation, the "number of cycles" multiplied to the "pulse period", which both are estimated in the pulse identification tab of seismosignal, indicate pulse duration.
By reading the paper that you recommended, I understand Tp is the time in which SdxSv is maximum. Am I correct?
