Modeling Pushover of Masonry Wall

Post by SBCP8 »

Hi all, I am trying to model a masonry wall that will give us another point of reference for a lab test we conducted. We used incremental displacements to fail the wall and collected data to build a hysteresis curve. I want to use SeismoStruct to model the wall properties and impose the same loading as we have done in lab. When I run my model, however, I get a linear response with no siginificant results. What is wrong here?

Can it be that you have the Run with Linear Elastic Properties checked (Program Settings>Analysis tab)?
If this is not the case, problably the structural deformations are very small and the response is indeed linear.

Hi
Could you please help me with respect modelling the wall. I am unable to provide the udl on the wall in addition to the lateral load.
