I use Seismostruct Version 5.2.2. I made a dynamic time-history analysis for a 5-floor building. The acceleration records were between 0.01 sec and 24.995 sec. I applied x+y+z+rx+ry+rz to underneath of the basement floor columns. However, the analysis gave the warning of “unable to apply the next load step. Analysis terminated” after the 11.655th second. And, the displacement of the structural bearing value was calculated by the program as 15 cm. What is the reason for this?
P.S:I used 0.01 as the acceleration value and I converted the earthquake acceleration records into Cm/sec2.

It seems that your model fails, i.e. it does not have the bearing capacity for the earthquake loading and the analysis cannot converge.

15cm drift in 3*5=15m of total height is an average drift of 1%, which means that the drift at the lower storey should be something like 2-3%, which is clear failure.

Note that you can use the Wizard to create sample models for all types of analysis
