Removing dead load

Hello,
I have a question concerning the loads that some steel braces (like an X) that I modelled have. I put some braces in an existing building so they will not have any vertical forces except from the self-weight but I am afraid I didn't model it right.
I noticed that I have huge loads in my bracings and I am wondering if it possible that my braces are absorving dead load from the columns so I decided to choose the option "loads are derived from masses in any translation direction..." and gave it a random coefficient of 0.6.
So in the end I compared the forces in my braces for the same base shear from model 1 with the option "Loads (only in gravity direction..." and model 2 with the 0,6 coefficient as explained above.
In the the end I had less forces in the braces in model 2 and the sum of the Z reaction was virtually 0. So the braces only had forces from the pushover and none gravitical forces from the dead load, right? If not is there an option of having the mass counting for creating the pushover but virtually 0 gravitical forces when running the model
