Dear all,
I am trying to copy the infill element (By using the instrumentation button) but it's not possible for me in seismostruct? Could you please help with this topic???
Thank you!!

Dear mangesh30,
Could you please provide us with more information about what you are trying to do? Generally, you may copy the element class or member by selecting it in the table format and use the Ctrl+C (Copy) and Ctrl+V (paste) command.

Dear sir,
I have modeled 1 infill element in RC frame but in case of multistorey frame its time consuming for each bay & storey. so in the element connectivity by using the incrementation button how can we do the process?? I want to increment the infill element in different bays of frames. Could you please explain, please?? So my time to create infill will decrease.

Dear mangesh30,
You may use the Incrementation facility in order to generate the new infill elements. You should just assign the proper number increment in the 4 structural nodes of the infill element. Hence, the node numbering you have assigned has to be proper for such an incrementation.

Dear sir I have modeled frame with Building Modeller so node name is like C17low in that case how can I do increment of infill???

Dear mangesh30,
The node name suffix should be a number, in order for you to be able to use the incrementation facility.

Dear all,
I am doing RC-infilled frame in seismostruct. I want the information regarding deformation of infill. Actually in the performance criteria, there is an option INFILL DEFORMATION (User defined option) for strut, shear & out of plane condition. I want to put the values for strut and shear how to calculate these values for infill deformation??? Could you please help me?? Or Is there any alternative option to see infill deformation. I read to crisafulli articles but did not get any empirical / analytical relations.
I hope you will me..
Regards

The SeismoStruct performance criteria for infills are limits (forces and deformations) defined by the user. It is up to the user to set such limits, depending on the limit state (i.e. level of damage) that the these quantities represent.
Apart from these performance criteria, there are also code-based checks with automatically calculated limits according to the selected Standard.

Hello everyone,
Actually I want to calculate the INFILL FORCE for the strut and shear. As per my knowledge, Strut force = compressive strength of infill * Area of strut (A2). Here Area (A2 i.e. reduced area due to cracking is the % of A1 i.e actual strut area). Is it right??? Should I take A1 or A2 ?? and similarly how to calculate shear force (passing through spring) for infill??.. I need your guidance for these two things. Hereby I am writing the properties of infill which I am using:
Em (Mod. of elasticity) = 2139.50 MPa,
Fm (Comp. strength of infill) = 3.89 MPa
Strut area (A1)= 68967.24 mm2
A2 (Residual strut area)= 10 % of A1
thickness of panel =150 mm
strut area reduction strain = 0.0003
Residual strut area strain = 0.0009
Contact length = 21.12 %
Shear bond strength = 0.3, Friction coefficient =0.8, Maximum shear resistance = 1.00.
I hope experts will me
Thanks & Regards
