Regarding adaptive pushover analysis

Dear all,
I am doing adaptive pushover analysis of RC building. In that each lateral load should be equal magnitude as per the manual. My question is what should be the magnitude of lateral load ??? Is there a need to calculate the design base shear and distribute ?? or can we put the magnitude of lateral load as 1kn , 2kn randomly like any value to push building?? Please suggest your opinion regarding lateral load magnitude in adaptive pushover case.

Thanks & Regards
Mangesh

No, the absolute value is of no important, especially in Response Control (which is the default), where the loadign factor is automatically calculated by the program.

That means I can put any value for the magnitude of the lateral load to push the building and it should be same. Is it right? or anything else??

Thanks & Regards

Indeed, the total force is a product of the (nominal force)*(load factor). In Response Control the load factor is then calculated by the program accordingly.
