Limitation of Number of Structural Members

I tried modelling a 20 storey building using SeismoStruct. It was not able to run because there is a warning that says there is a limit for the number of sections. I checked the number of sections and it will not exceed 10000 sections. What does the number of sections mean? May we know what we can do about this. Your response is highly appreciated. Thank you.

Indeed, the maximum number of sections that can be defined in a single project is 10,000.
However, for a 20-storey building this limit seems to be ok, or is it not? Can you please send the project at
support@seismosoft.com, so that we can find a solution to your problem with this limitation?

Should we delete the intermediate beams and convert them to additional permanent loads? We've already sent the file. Any comments will be highly appreciated. Thank you.

The file is very large and heavy for a detailed check. Indeed, the number of sections has exceeded the maximum allowable limit. The Building Modeller immediately creates one new section for each column member, but for the case of beams three sections (start-middle-end) are created, if the reinforcement pattern is different at the start, the middle and the end of the beam. If the reinforcement is the same, just one section type is created.
Note that you can easily change the members reinforcement inside the Building Modeller with the Copy Member Properties tool (brush button on the toolbar).
