Convergence prob. with the new version of SeStruct

Dear Seismosoft,
I have a model and i could do dynamic-time history analysis with the previous version of SeismoStruct. But i'm having a convergence problem while doing the same analysis on the same model with the new version. Have you got any sugggestions about solving this problem?
Best Regards.

Dear Soydan,

If you send us the model, we can try having a look a it, though, since the new version of SeismoStruct carries out more stringent checks on the models, it may be the case that it detected a modelling error that had been invisible up until now.

Anyway, we will be happy to look into this matter.

Dear Seismosoft,
I have sent my model as an attachment of an e-mail to support@seismosoft.com.
Best Regards.

Yes, thanks, we did receive it (note: there was no need to send separately the accelerogram, since the latter is embedded in the spf file already), and will come back to you as soon as we have news.

Kind regards,

Dear Soydon,

We checked your model and noticed that you were using the 'con_ma2' material model for the unconfined concrete.

We do not know if this is intentional or not, however, we strongly advise you to avoid using this still-under-development-and-testing material model, unless strictly needed.

If you replace 'con_ma2' with 'con_ma', the analysis should run fine.

Best regards,
