Good morning!

What is the difference between "Non-structural node" and "Structural node"?
In Pre-processor -> nodes i put one "Non-structural node" with coordinates.

After "RUN" in post-processor case i dont see any information(displacements) about my "Non-structural node". Did i something wrong?

Hi sanya greek. A 'non-structural node' is typically used to achieve a proper alignment of member local axes (i.e., as node 3 for a beam, brace, or column element) when no structural node lies in the appropriate plane. It is termed 'non-structural' because its only purpose is to achieve said alignment with no elements attached to the node. Hence, there is no need to output displacements because there are none. Any node to which any element is attached or any constraint assigned should be a 'structural node'. Any node which is placed solely to accommodate geometrical considerations should be a 'non-structural node'.
