Rayleigh Damping

Hi,
I would just like some clarifications on how Seismostruct calculates the Rayleigh damping. We must enter T1 and T2 to get alphaM and alphaK.
From these equations, what is the difference of choosing between tangent and initial stiffness since both alpha use T1 and T2 and never T ??

So if you choose Rayleigh damping, is the Damping matrix updated at each iteration or does it stick to the one calculated with T1 and T2??

Thanks for the clarification.

Dear Benoit,

If you chose tangent stiffness proportional damping, the damping matrix is updated at each iteration, independently of being Rayleigh or stiffness-proportional only.
