No change in Ultimate load carrying capacity

Hi,
I have been conducting Cyclic load testing on Beam-Column Joint model.Type of analysis is Static Time history analysis. If the stirrups are closely spaced it has to increase the ultimate load.I have been varying the spacing of stirrups in both Beams and columns, but the load carrying capacity in all cases does not change. Please reply as soon as possible.
Thank you,
Nayan

The spacing of stirrups affects the shear capacity but not the flexural capacity of the members (there is small change, due to the confinement increase, but this is very small in the general case).
