Creating a Material Model

Dear All,
First of all, I would like to thank all the supporting stuff and the other people who are helping in answering the qusetions. I want to creat my own material model which is based on some experimental results, so can I create my own stress-strain curve for the steel in SeismoStruct?
Also, Is it possible to write a formulation of a link element and included it in SeismoStruct? Something similar to the user-defined element subroutine in ABAQUS.
Thank you,
Ahmed

Because SeismoStruct is not an open-source project, we have implemented an external application SeismoDev that users can use to create their models (either material models or link response curves). The structure of SeismoDev is very similar to SeismoStruct, so that the models are easily then passed to SeismoStruct. A similar procedure is followed for the creation of new element types, however several restrictions apply in that case, due to changes required in the GUI of the program.

Note that we do not envisage any sort of present or future financial recompense, of either parts, in exchange for this operation, and that you agree to have no other claim of any kind from SeismoSoft, but for the correct and continuous referencing of your model or algorithm. To learn more about the procedure followed in such cases (e.g. programming language to use, input/output variables, etc.), please contact us directly at support@seismosoft.com
