Strengthening column using frps.

Dear friends.
I am trying to model the increase of the flexural strength in column using frps.
I am using the "reinforced concrete jacketed section" and assign the frp material to the "Concrete jacket" parameter.
Is this going to increase directly the flexural strength of the column, or just increase the cross-section confinement that will indirectly result in increased moment capacity?
