We cannot duplicate the behaviour you describe. Perhaps you could try to install the software in another computer, so as to check if the apparent anomaly is associated to your own particular computer.

In any case, we wonder if you cannot simply request a license (academic or commercial, depending on your use of the software), and thus overcome the expiration barrier?
