Access violation error

After setting up Target Spectra (loading from file) and Envelope Shapes, the Artificial Accelerogram Generation option will run and produce a finished message “Convergence achieved, 5 of 5 accelerograms ....” but then sometimes (not always) an error box can appear saying “Access violation at address 0078960C (or similar) …. Read address 097dcBA0 (or similar)…”, and there are no records in Time Series (and the pointer timer keeps turning).

Note: this does not always happen, however. From a few trials, it appears to happen if record duration is greater than 20 sec (but this may be coincidental) and/or I run the program on the main (yes!) screen of a two-screen set-up. My system is Windows 7 Pro. Any suggestions, please?
