dear all;
i'm trying to figure out the RC beam-column joint model implemented in seismostruct; i found it follow the model proposed in the work of Yu, (2007 ) find it online at : http://www.roseschool.it/files/get/id/4452
, the method proposed an implementation simple springs to account for the of the mechanism might be encountered such as Bar slippage.however, i found in many places in the forum that the latter is not accounted for in the seismostruct ( refer here to : http://www.seismosoft.com/forum/viewtop ... oint#p4089).
so I'm little confused about the model proposed in the software and any paper related ,

Dear zthaer,

There is not implemented a specific RC beam-column joint model in SeismoStruct. The paper you are referring to has been used in a specific verification example.

Zoi;
could you please just refer to a specific information/clarification(like a paper) to the joint behavior which could be estimated in the fiber approach, i meant by the behavior (1)the mechanism of developing the shear resistance by the mean of comprehensive strength the core of the joint develop (2) the shear Resistance of the interface beam/column -joint.
the third mechanism of bar-slippage is clearly not accounted for.
