Can SeismoStruct be freely employed in commercial applications?

As stated in the License Agreement, the commercial use of the software requires the acquisition of a specific license. Academic/research employment, on the other hand, may be carried out completely free of charge.

Hello there!
I was wondering what is needed to obtain an academic license?
I'm a postgraduate student, but I'm not an employee of the faculty that I study at, I work in a private firm, so I don't have an academic e-mail.
Is there still a possibility to recieve a license?
Thanks in advance!
