Shape Memory Alloy at plastic hinge

Hello everyone!
I am doing a project on seismic response of multistory building using RC and SMA RC at plastic hinges of the frames. For this purpose I am using Static Pushover analysis.
Can anyone help me in finding the location of the plastic hinges in seismostruct and also how to inoculate SMA at these reigons
Also I need help in performance criteria and determining the Demand curve
Your help wll be greatly appreciated

As a first step, you can refer to the tutorials of the user manual, or the video tutorials at Seismosoft's YouTube channel (e.g. there is a video specifically for the defintion of performance criteria)

I have seen the video and the tutorials but I don't know how to inoculate the shape memory alloy at the plastic hinge region.

What do you mean with 'inoculate'?
The general procedure is to define materials (you can define the SMA material there), and then select the appropriate materials when defining the sections in the Sections module. These sections will be used then in the elements classes definition.

Note also that SeismoStruct is a distributed plasticity sofotware, hence users are not required to explicitly define the plasti hinge properties

Means I just want the material to be installed just at the plastic hinge length. Rest I want is steel

Dear cracket,
You may appropriately subdivide the entire element, using the "Subdivide" button available in the "Element Connectivity" module, and assign different sections at the new, subdivided, elements.

Sir the problem with subdividing is that it subdivides the length by default values and i want it to be subdivided a/c to pauly and priestly plastic hinge length

1) In the Settings of the program you may change the automatic subdivision lengths.
2) Alternatively you can also always subdivide elements in manual fashion, using whatever lengths you want, by creating the necessary nodes.

PS: out of curiosity, why would you want to subdivide the element in plastic hinge-related lenghts? What is it that you are trying to achieve with that?

Ok, then you might not necessarily want to subdivide the element in lengths that are coincident with the plastic-hinge, but rather subdivide the element in lengths that will imply locations of the integration points coincident with the plastic hinge length (if you have not done so yet, you might want to read the Manual/Help section on integration points, as well as some of the papers there recommended, in particular those addressing the issue of localisation).
