many link for one element

in case of nonlinear analyses like IDA , what happens to elements after they pass yield point? if that elements fails totally or ramains with less stiffness or other thing happens?
assmue an element of FBPH type. does it differs for different kind of elements?
next, could we model buckling in braces or coloumns with putting link elements in two end of it?
last question, could we put more than two link in one element? for example for modelling braces suceptible to buckling we need to define two link for releasing two end and two other for modelling buckling
is it possible?
thanks too much

Dear Mortezarazi,

1) if you run some analyses and check the results (in particular the stress-strain history in the elements), you will obtain the answer to your first question

2) we are not sure we understand the relation between end links and buckling representation; please search and read past discussions in this Forum on this topic

3) the answer to your third question is a combination of the previous two.
