Different outputs between new and old version

Dear Seismostruct, when my old files run with the new version of Seismostruct, I obtain different outputs in comparison with the old version of Seismostruct.
I haven't any idea about this problem.
Can you help me?
Thanks.

Dear ale78,

As we stated in an old post in this Forum: "on occasions, bug fixes have had to be introduced in the solver of SeismoStruct, and this might cause the differences that you are experiencing".

In any case, if the differences are significant, do send us the model in question (together with a summary of the old and new results), and we will have a look into it.

Thanks,

Dear Seismosoft support office,

I've just posted a comment about differences within the results furnished by the two last releases of Seismostruct (ver.4 vs ver.5).
With reference to a modal analysis of a 2D model, namely a model completely restrained against translations in the global direction y,(the same I have attached to my previous mail) I obtain different fundamental frequencies by modifying stiffnesses of elastic frames in the out-of-plane direction.
Where is the mistake?
Thanks

Fortuna Alessandro

Dear Seismosoft, is it possible obtain a answer about my post of 20 january?
While I wait the old release of seismostruct, I'm trying to work with the new release and I found the irregular behaviour defined above. It could be useful clarify.
Thanks.

Hi seismosoft,
I have the same problem of ale78.
Eigenvalue Analysis of a 2D model produce different periods if I modify stiffnesses of elastic frames in the out-of-plane direction.
The differences are considerable.
Can you help me?
Regards,
Manu

Hi,

Yes, the local axes of 'elfrm' elements do seem to be inverted. We are looking into this, and, if the error is confirmed, we will release an updated version.

Thanks for bringing the matter to our attention.

Hi again,

We have posted a new release in our website, which hopefully solves this problem. Do let us know please if this is indeed the case.

Thanks for signalling the problem to us.
