Adaptive Pushover analysis output

Hello,

As part of a university research project I am running a number of reinforced concrete frame models through SeismoStruct, with the aim of producing a capacity-demand diagram in acceleration - displacement format.

I am currently carrying out a modal analysis of a 3 storey, single bay frame using the Static Adaptive Pushover Analysis function. I would like to know if it is possible for SeismoStruct to display the modal amplitudes at each individual storey of the building? Currently the results that are displayed in the post-processor are for the global modal amplitudes only.

Any advice would be much appreciated!

Thanks,

Joanna

Hi Joanna,

Any particular reasons for using adaptive pushover analysis instead of eigenvalue analysis?

Anyway, you may obtain modal shapes from the displacement output at each storey (see 'Global Response Parameters' output module).

Thanks for the response.

The reason i am carrying out adaptive pushover analysis (as well as eigenvalue analysis) is to obtain the modal quantities at the yield point.

I am aiming to compute the modal participation factor and modal mass coefficient according to the ATC-40 code, in order to produce a capacity-demand diagram. Although the modal shapes can be obtained from the displacement output in the Global Response parameters and the Step Output tab, I am also looking for the displacement of each storey, but separated into the components for each individual mode.

Thanks for your help,

Joanna

OK, clear now.

Unfortunately, the output of modal storey displacements at each step of adaptive pushover has indeed not been envisaged, we are afraid.
