with SeismoStruct is it possible to make a non-linear analysis of a building consisting of shear walls of brick masonry? thanks

A quick review of the Verification Manual and Example Problems should give you a great idea of such capabilities, minhalma. It is really well written and fairly comprehensive.

Best of luck.

Hi minhalma,

Whilst you may indeed try to model masonry walls structures with SeismoStruct, especially if they are reinforced masonry ones, there are other specialised software solutions (e.g. AndiWall, TreMuri, 3DMacro) that may be more adequate for the analysis of such type of buildings, particularly when unreinforced masonry is present and out-of-plane failure mechanisms are of relevance.
