Hi, in verification report (EXAMPel 11, Model c).for
"nonlinear" dynamic time history analysis use Elastic Frame Element!!?

I notice the same thing, bakhtiyar. But I think the point of the verification example is to compare the time history results to hand calculations, which requires that the problem be simple enough to be amenable to hand calculation solution. And note as well that, even with no material nonlinearity in the elements, geometric nonlinearities are still incorporated into the analysis (they are rather insignificant for this particular problem at the load levels given). You can uncheck geometric nonlinearities in the settings and you won't see much difference in the results. If, however, you add large vertical, permanent loads to the columns you will see significant changes in the results due to geometric nonlinearities.

Thank you for your comment Bakhtiyar. The term 'nonlinear' was writen inadvertently in the text. As Tim Huff correctly pointed out the point of the verification example is to prove that the integration rules of SeismoStruct are correct, they are close to hand-calculated results.
